Job description: JOB SUMMARY

To assist the Head of Category, Regulatory & Medical Affairs in providing the regulatory compliance activities for Reckitt Benckiser products (assigned categories) and daily operation/administrative work of regulatory function, leading to the high performance of RA department in India.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Regulatory Affairs – OTC Category – India

– Ensure the registration and regulatory compliance of Reckitt Benckiser’s marketed products with relevant national regulatory requirements to bring competitive advantage to our brands.

Registration execution:

– Compilation of registration dossiers for submissions to authorities.

– Preparation, maintenance and update of product registration/license and regulatory compliance files.

– Submitting the registration application for new license & variation, as well as follow-up with governmental authorities to obtain rapid approvals.

– Maintaining regulatory documentation filing system.

– Prepare the regulatory/legal document to support export business (if any)

Regulatory Requirements:

– Developing and maintaining a database of local regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Advice

– Providing regulatory input for NPD/EPD projects.

– Providing regulatory and product compliance expertise in the area of advertising, label claims and printed materials for existing and new products.

– Ensuring the quality of regulatory documentation for Reckitt Benckiser’s products in an environment of continuous change

– Providing timely regulatory feedback to Global RSE and regional RA

Regulatory Compliance Champion – OTC – India

– Assist the Category Head on the regulatory compliance program within India

External Communication – OTC – India

– Support the Country Head in the Interfacing with local government agencies on any assigned regulatory influencing activities.

– Maintaining / establishing good relationships with regulatory agencies and other key opinion leaders and customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

– Must have a degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, human biology, human medicine, veterinary medicine, biochemistry or biology

– Language skills: Fluent in English and Hindi

– Minimum 2 years of experience in OTC markets, or other regulated healthcare categories e.g. cosmetics, medical devices, food supplement, biocides) and within a FMCG environment, with experience in Regulatory Affairs

– Broad knowledge of Indian regulatory systems

– Sound performer in interacting with regulatory authorities

– Clear and logical thinker with the ability to recognize patterns and develop innovative solutions

– Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative and persistence and a very much hands on approach to results delivery

– The ability to effectively manage projects and relationships with local partners, contractors, and consultants to achieve Reckitt Benckiser’s objectives

– Experience in handling issues resolution in regulatory affairs

– Demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities effectively

– Experience in online filling on Sugam FDA portal

– Experience in working with OTC/Pharma/Ayurvedic products

– Ability to translate regulations and legislative activity and convert into market relevant set of actions that achieve category/global plans and result in increased brand value.

– Ability to manage basic financial requirement such as – Raising Purchase Orders, managing invoices, release of payments on time and managing subscriptions

– Strong analytical skills – able to analyse and evaluate business issues, resolving matters to achieve performance and economic objectives.

– A self-starter with a high energy level; capable of directing numerous tasks under pressure with equanimity.

– High energy level and curious mindset.

– Demonstrates openness to new ideas, and creative/innovative solutions.

– Excellent interpersonal skill with proven ability to communicate with high level executives.

– Strong negotiation, presentations and collaborative skills

– A team player capable of working effectively with others on the senior management team.
