Job Purpose

To provide the technical solution consulting support to VICS business, primarily for FL Connectivity for integrated solutions using various technology platforms on Fixed line Voice/ Data Connectivity, messaging services (Domestic & international) & VAS products. Achieve strategic gains across the organization by working across stake holders in Vodafone Group, Circle & Corporate functions & Carrier ecosystem

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Solution Selling

  • Support carrier sales team achieve revenue, customer acquisition targets.
  • Promoting competitive & cost effective best-fit connectivity infrastructure solutions permissible under regulation for aggregators and customers
  • Understand customer pain points and device probable ways of solving them using wide product range and propose end to end integrated solutions comprising of flavours of fixed line data connectivity, backhauling, IPLC, GMPLS bundled with Infrastructure, regulatory guidance, etc.

Product Differentiation

  • Achieve differentiation in the market by delivering value to the customer by way of modifying the available products to fit and exceed the customer requirements.
  • Providing guidance to the Product/ Technology team in terms of new product development based on the customer/ market requirements.

People & Processes

  • Collaborate and engage with key stake holders viz. peers, Sales managers, Technology Planning, Operations, product, engineering, Project management, Service Assurance, NoC, OEMs, partners, etc. and other delivery teams for ensuring compliance to customer requirements
  • Ownership of the end to end solution design and assure that it fits for the purpose, deliverable and supportable. Ensure open and transparent agreement with cross function teams. Replicate Best practices, ensure opportunity governance is adhered to. Drive and deliver high performing customer and partner engagements for high CSAT/ NPS
  • Adherence to the agreed upon S&P to ensure standardization in the way Vodafone Idea conducts the Carrier Business.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Essential : BE/ BTech in Electronics / Electronics Telecom/ equivalent
  • First hand technical knowledge of networking and networking products, TDM/ IP/ Optics/ DWDM based fixed line voice/ data technologies
  • Proficient Understanding of Fixed ILD Voice ecosystem, call collection on TDM/ IP/ MPLS, SIPT,, CNH architecture, SBCs, Security aspects, regulatory, etc.
  • Relevant pre sales/ business/technical experience in offering & designing high bandwidth & complex integrated solutions on L0/ L1/ L2/ L3 circuits, MPLS VPN, CDNs, IPLC, IPT, Data Centre Interconnects, etc.
  • In depth knowledge of Internet ecosystem, content distribution, peering networks, transit networks, deep caching
  • Excellent inter-personal & business communication skills
  • Hands-on Experience on managing Carrier/ enterprise networks/ IT environment
  • Industry accepted Technology/ Product certifications like CCNA/CCNP/JCNA/ OC-A/ MEF CECP etc.
